ASCERT is a local charity that offers support to people who have problems with alcohol, substance misuse or their mental health. Last year it supported around 17,000 young people, adults and families across Northern Ireland.
ASCERT’s Steps to Cope service tackles the issue of ‘hidden harm’ in young people, helping them to deal with the risks and impact of living with a parent who has addiction issues. ASCERT equips them with the skills, advice and confidence to deal with this situation – and protect their own mental health.
