This session explored what Virtual Production is all about and what the industry is looking for from new entrants interested in working on the cutting edge of new content creation.
Described as the future of film production, Virtual Production is a new pipeline that draws together skills from gaming, animation, film production, visual effects and high-end television.
Virtual Production at its heart uses gaming engine technology to provide photorealistic backdrops in real time for shooting on set in front of large video walls or virtually on blue or green screen. This technology has recently been used to critical acclaim on the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.
