Janmashtmi Special
The Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford is the setting for the largest Hindu celebration of Janmashtmi in the world outside of India.

Presented by Dev Parmar, the Asian Network broadcasts a Janmashtmi special live from the headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in the UK on the 26th August, from 19.30.

The festival of Janmashtmi observes the birthday of Lord Krishna who first appeared in Mathura, India about 5000 years ago. In a very family orientated event, there were plays which told the story of Krishna, youth groups helping young people take an interest in spiritual life and puppet shows for the children. Take a look at the photo gallery from a peaceful day in the sun and listen again to the show.
