Representing British Asian Hip-Hop with 'Sanehvaal Chounk'.

Instantly recognisable as the beats behind the current ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Asian Network New Talent TV trail with their killer track 'Sanehvaal Chounk', Specialist & Tru Skool have blasted their way straight to the heart of British Asian music.

The funky Midland duo, Mani (aka Specialist) and Sukh (Tru Skool) released their debut album Word is Born in December 2004.

With its pulse on both the digital sounding age and traditional Indian instrumentation, Specialist and Tru Skool create a truly eclectic, often ground breaking sound. Old Skool beats (think Nas, Biggie Smalls and Wu Tang Clan) and a heavy Bhangra vibe kick up a very Desi New York storm.

With inspiration from the Punjab to underground Hip Hop exploding through their sounds, Specialist & Tru Skool have defied any one particular influence or culture and seem set to take British Asian sounds on a whole new journey.

Heralding from a Drum 'n' Bass background, Specialist provides the Hip Hop underground vibe, while Tru Skool's classical instrumentation lends the real Punjab flavour. Both Mani and Sukh have solo careers, Mani having released his solo album Higher Intelligence and co-producing Bally Rai's album A Lethal Desi. Sukh is soon to release his debut solo album.

You can downloadÌý'Sanekraa Chounk' (the Drum'N'Bass Rinse) as a exclusively remixed track for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Asian Network.
