Thursday
11th September
Well this is the end now, today is going to be my last day as
a Blast reporter.
It seems like this is the end now, but from inside it feels
like this is just the beginning. I've had a real 'blast' being
a blast reporter, I'm sure all this experience would be very
helpful for the future.
It's been really nice sharing all my thoughts with you.
Time has just flown by in the past three months.
Hopefully you lot may see me in the future, probably as the
next Martin Bashir…
Wednesday 16th July
Today was one of those fast paced days, I came into the office
and prepared my questions for an interview later today and by
the time I knew it, it was time to go for my first interview.
I travelled into Slough to interview a person called Dave, apparently
this guy has starred in loads of movies.
Overall today was good, I enjoyed it apart from the time when
it started to rain when I was going to take my first interview.
Thursday 17th July
Yesterday I took my first interview, so today I had to write
about that interview and crop the pictures and the hopefully
put it on to the internet.
Just after lunch I managed to finish off my article, so it could
be put on to the internet. After I had completed my article
it was time for me to prepare for my biggest article yet, the
Slough Asian Mela.
Amanda helped me prepare my questions for the stars at the Mela.
At the end of the day I was pleased with my work and very excited
about the Mela.
Today went very smoothly, because I knew what I had to do however
we did have a laugh.
Monday 21st July
Apart from being knackered from the Mela, today was a great
day, after having a cool time at the Mela it was time for me
to start writing my article.
As I was writing my article I was a target for the camera that
was being controlled by Olga Drooglever (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ researcher).
Olga came over to film me for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Blast TV (which will be shown
late August on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 2) later on in the day I managed to complete
my article on the Mela, which was later put on the website.
Tuesday 22nd July
Today was a quite day, compared to the other day's I have spent
at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.
I worked very hard today to complete typing up the interviews
I took at the Mela in order for me to add them on to my Mela
article, after I had completed that I started my research on
Henna painting.
This was going to be my next article after the Mela article.
Just as I started surfing the internet to find information on
Henna painting, it was time for lunch.
After lunch I started my research again. It took along time
for me to find the appropriate information, but eventually I
managed to find it.
Overall today was a good day because I realised exactly how
hard a journalist has to work.
Tuesday 5th August
Today has been a great day, I have had a laugh with all my colleagues
and also completed my article for this week.
I wrote an article on a short film that will be showed at the
Slough Youth Festival, which I believe is the best article I
have wrote since I started working as a blast reporter.
Well I best be off now I have to prepare for my next article,
which is about henna painting.
Wednesday 6th August
Just finished planning for my Henna painting interview for this
afternoon, apart from that today has been pretty quiet.
After completing my film-making yesterday, it was finally up-loaded,
so now you can go and check it out.
Straight after lunch I will be leaving for my interview on Henna
Painting.
Overall today has been a pretty cool day, I have completed this
week's article, as well as a plan for my next article.
Tuesday 12th August
Today has been pretty cool, after I very hot weekend we finally
got a much cooler day.
I just finished typing up my henna painting article.
So far I have been very busy just running around in this boiling
hot weather, but now it's time to relax, because I've got my
results coming out on Thursday, God I'm nervous.
Tuesday 19th August
I just finished typing my next article, it's about a journalism
course that happened at Slough Young peoples centre.
It went really cool so go an check it out. Today has been ok,
just finished my article so now I have to get it checked to
see if it can go on the Internet.
I also passed my exams, finally the pressure is over.
Wednesday 27th August
Today just been a typical day in the office, where I just finished
typing my article.
Yesterday I went to Slough Young People's Centre to take an
interview of couple of youngsters who are taking part in radio
course.
Hey that reminds me it's on the website now so go on have a
look at it.
Tuesday 2nd September
Drawing closer to the end of my ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ adventure just finished
typing up my last article for Blast.
The article is about the Slough Youth Festival, worked hard
on it so please check it out.
Today is actually my last day of working hard in the office,
because next week I'm just going to pop in to do bits and pieces.
So look forward to my final day of being a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Blast reporter.
