The dragon was snapped by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Birmingham website producer Sarah Loat in 2006 as part of the city's Chinese New Year celebrations. Two years later, Australia Post - the Aussie equivalent of the Royal Mail - asked us if they could use the image of the dragon to form the basis of an upcoming postage stamp. ![]() Here it is - the brand new stamp The stamp commemorates the 2008 Beijing Olympics and goes into circulation in June '08. So that's a dragon in Birmingham, photographed during Chinese New Year, picked up by the Australian postal service to promote the Beijing Olympics! ![]() The original photo We've also pulled out Sarah's original photograph so you can compare the the two.ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ WM's Phil Upton @ Breakfast is on the hunt to find the person or persons responsible for creating the dragon in the first place.
