after twenty five years. He recently won the prestigious regional DfES Innovation Unit Award for Lifetime Achievement in the West Midlands, for his work in the all-age special school. He reflects on his time at Hazel Oak, and talks about his future. More information about Peter: .

Awards update: On Sunday October 17 2005, Peter won the National DfES Innovation Unit Award for Lifetime Achievement, at a ceremony held at the Theatre Royal in London. Celebrities who presented the nation's top ten teachers with their trophies included Pride & Prejudice actor Matthew Macfadyen, Brenda Blethyn, and Lord Melvyn Bragg.
