Title: El Policia

I chose to design album artwork for âEl Policiaâ as they were, simply, the band that I wanted to see make it big. Their music and iconic look grabbed my attention the first time I laid eyes on them and since then, I have focused purely on designing an album that captures who they are. The design above actually came about by accident, coming from an hour spent messing around with the effects on Serif. It has experienced a few tweaks but more or less has remained the same. The part of the artwork that I like best is how it manages to create a sort of mysterious feel to it. âEl Policiaâ didnât reveal much about themselves in their video which shows quite clearly that they keep most things to themselves. The artwork, I believe, reflects this. The bold writing down the left hand side is another feature that I like. I think this reflects what âEl Policiaâ intend to make on the music industry with their retro look and music. I also like how the artwork creates a breaking free effect with the brighter colours emerging from darker ones. So to conclude with, I hope that âEl Policiaâ go on to make a big impact in the music industry.
