And you gave up getting an award for THIS???
Well, Eddie, it works for me....
I'll get me coat.
Fifi ;o)
Absolutely agree, Eddie (Oh gosh, does that mean Humph will accuse me of sycophancy?)
But, Eddie, you weren't around in 1957 to know, were you?
You and Tony are both smooth performers. Tony has a great voice, and so do you.
Do you sing, btw?
..doobie, doobie...doo...
OK, I admit my ignorance. Who?
That's not as in "Dr Who", who is sort of timeless himself. Actually, the title Dr Who makes me laugh because it should be Dr Who? But everybody insists that it's his name - or rather "persists" in calling him that. And when I say "him" I really mean "them" - because whatever they tell you, it's not all the same person. In real life.
Now, where did I put those pills.
Er - dunno, you've got me there. Terry Wogan?
-Ahem- Somebody has stolen my Tony Bennett concert tickets.
Gordon Bennett!
Oh it's Tony, not Gordon.
Hmm those 2 names sound familiar.....
Sorry, but I just can't take singers seriously unless I have to remortgage my house to buy a ticket. Part of the pleasure is in the pain.
BTW, and in fairness to Jem Stone, he is responding to comments about his Blog.
Was Charles Dance at the concert?
Adrie (8): Is that a comment about Mr. Bennett (tickets v. expensive and totally sold out) or Mr. Mair (as yet no concerts planned)?
Well I have to agree with our Eddie, I saw Tony Bennett in concert about 12 years ago and thought he was fantastic.
Gossipmistress (10) - No. I sold my tickets to Eddie Mair.
Is he the one with five unmarried daughters?
Aunt D - ?Tony Bennett, Charles Dance or Eddie?
Charles - I do hope you made a healthy profit?
I cannot help thinking that this may be the much requested piccie of Mr. Mayor in 1997. If that is the case, how much has been spent on surgery during the last ten years? And have things only gotten better?
