After our item last night on the snow of 1947, we got this:
"These pictures came from my late father's collection of photos taken when he was a keen club cyclist. I don't know what month it was but the year was 1940. It makes the present snow look pretty paltry - and there was a war on as well. Janet Hall, Aldbrough St John, Richmond, North Yorkshire"
