Q: Born and bred?

A: Wokingham, Berkshire. I get back quite often, it's amazing how very little changes. There are more themed pubs these days but that's about it.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: A Radio Presenter. I was playing records on the Dansette at home before I could speak.

Q: What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?

A: Playing a song at the wrong speed and not noticing, the worst thing is it was by my favourite band! Thank the heavens for CD's!

Q: What's the worst job you've ever had?

A: Cleaning hospital wards. It was my first job out of school. I wasn't very good, I kept chatting to the old ladies about their favourite music.

Q: Do you have a catchphrase?

A: Anyone who's seen me at a wedding reception would say "hands in the air". I have a tendency to take over at wedding receptions which is why we had a band at mine.

Q: What was the first record you ever bought?

A: Green Onions - Booker T and the MG's. I swore I would never sell my record collection but then Ebay came along!

Q: What's your favourite food?

A: Mushroom Risotto for Sunday lunch at my local, and a nice glass of red with my wife.

Q: When Hollywood comes calling, who'll play you?

A: Damien Lewis.

Q: In a fire, what would you rescue first?

A: My Godfather Trilogy.

Q: What do you do to relax?

A: I enjoy great company and music. This summer, when I get a day off, I'll be sitting in my new garden with wine and a barbie.
