Gran Gran Plan: Bug Hotel
It's time for a Gran Gran Plan! Try making your own Bug Hotel.
You will need
- Old bricks
- Broken flower pots
- Wooden pallets
- Tiles
- Materials to attract various insects e.g. straw for ladybirds, dry leaves for beetles and bamboo for bees

Remember to ask your grown-up to help you with making your bug hotel.
Find some old bricks, wooden pallets, broken plant pots, tiles and anything else that might be useful!
Place a wooden pallet down as the base of the Bug Hotel. Â
Add any bricks, flower pots, or other materials you can find in between each wooden pallet layer.
Add tiles to the roof - why not paint them to make the Bug Hotel more bright and colourful!
Fill the 'rooms' with different materials to attract various types of insects and other creatures.
Enjoy spotting all the various bugs that visit the Bug Hotel you made!
