What is Bonfire Night?
Bonfire Night is a British festival which celebrates whenÌýGuy Fawkes and his group were stopped in their plan to set fire to the Houses of Parliament with gunpowder. Communities wrap up warm and have huge bonfires and fireworks. Friends and family come together for food and parties. Across the country children have fun playing with glow sticks and sparklers.
Guy FawkesÌýwas born in and raised in York where he attended St Peter's School.
