Commissioning opportunity: artist-focused YouTube pilots for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music

Deadline for initial submissions: 18 September 2025

Published: 4 September 2025

We’re inviting production companies with experience creating successful short-form video series for YouTube or social platforms to pitch us ideas for a repeatable YouTube format for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music that can feature music artists from across the pop sphere.

We’re looking to trial three different format ideas over the course of a year, piloting three episodes of each.

We want unique, entertainment-first formats that brings audiences close to their favourite artists in a warm and engaging way. Ideas need to be bold and distinctive, that can make the most of the incredible, but often brief access we have to musical acts coming through ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ buildings.

This is not about live performance, but a chance to see artists at their most relaxed and open: less promo interview, more disarming, relatable content that captures the off-script authenticity of a chat between friends.

When pitching ideas, please consider:

  • Can the format be repeated with a broad range of music artists, flexing across the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ pop networks, without becoming tired or stale?
  • What is the audience hook, that makes the format ‘sticky’ and will encourage viewers to return or watch multiple episodes?
  • Is the idea distinctive and notably different to existing music formats in the marketplace, and can it build brand fame for music at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½?
  • Does the format feel platform native with a clear distribution strategy?

The budget for each three-episode pilot series will be £35,000.00.

Suppliers can pitch up to three ideas each.

The initial deadline for the eligibility questionnaire is Thursday 18 September 2025.
