Complaint
The programme included an item on illegal e-bikes. A listener complained that Jeremy Vine had used it as an opportunity to make comments which exhibited bias against cars and motorists. The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s editorial standards of impartiality.
Outcome
The discussion was almost entirely devoted to the dangers of illegal e-bikes. Mr Vine’s comments on cars and motorists were confined to his interaction with one caller.  They reflected commonly cited counter-arguments to the points the caller was making and, in the ECU’s judgement, could not reasonably be taken as expressions of Mr Vine’s own opinions.
