A garden bird watch survey has been running for the past ten years and this year, with your help,Ìýwe want to help to make it the most comprehensive yet. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Cornwall Nest Box Challenge Event On Sunday 18 February ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Cornwall is holding a Nest Box Challenge event at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery in Lostwithiel from 0900 to 1200.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Cornwall's Tim Hubbard will be broadcasting his Sunday programme live from the event where plants experts Tracy Wilson, who is the Manager of the nursery, John Harris and Nigel Pascoe will be giving advice on where to site the boxes and the best garden and other planting to attract birds.Ìý There will be RSPB bird expert, Dave Flumm on hand and David Hunter from the Lost Gardens of Heligan will explain how their bird box (and bat box and owl box) operations work. Community Producer Nina Davey and her volunteers will also be giving away 200 sparrow sized nest boxes at the Duchy Nursery along with instructions as to how to put them together.Ìý Over the next few weeks we'll have more information on how to claim your free bird box. |
