Now imagine a bleak, windswept moor, a mysterious inn, smugglers, danger, murder, love and loss. We're talking about Daphne Du Maurier's novel inspired by an unexpected stay at the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Cornwall's Hannah Stacey has been to meet the children at Polruan Primary School nestled in the heart of Du Maurier Country overlooking the Fowey River.

Fans of Du Maurier enjoy the landscapes and local places that inspired the writer in a series of walks.Ìý ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Cornwall's Hannah Stacey has taken a stroll through Fowey with local guide and keen walker Dawn Vyvyan.

Tywardreath, near Fowey is the setting for the last novel written by Daphne Du Maurier - House on the Strand. A guided walk from Par to Tywardreath allows readers to explore the countryside featured in the book.
