Have you got a digital camcorder but not sure how to turn those tapes into short edited films? ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Coventry & Warwickshire's Open Centre can help.

This short three week course will teach you how to get those tapes of family events and turn them into shorter keepsakes or presents.ÌýÌý

Learn how to edit out that accidental footage of your feet or those moments where you left it on record by mistake.ÌýAdd titles, credits, music and much more.Ìý

Participants will learn how to capture audio, video and photos from their camera and other sources onto a PC.

They will then be shown how to edit their footage and put the effects and transitions to best use- resulting in a professional looking movie with titles, credits etc.

Dates: 3 week course

Thursday, 17 January, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Thursday, 24 January, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Thursday, 31 January, 6.30 - 8.30pm

Information for participants:

  • The course will use Windows movie maker
  • Could participants please bring their own content? Either on a disc or on their camcorders (USB leads also needed)
  • Handouts with instructions and tips will be provided
