All three members of the website team, Victoria Minett, Amy Elias and Faye Claridge, were on hand throughout the event to guide guests through the new site and discuss what the site had to offer.

Dignitaries and representatives from many local organisations were in attendance, including the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr Dave Chater, Mayor of North Warwickshire, Cllr Mick Stanley, and Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Ray Kirby.

Also there were representatives from Warwick and Coventry Universities, Warwick Arts Centre, the Belgrade Theatre, The Colosseum and CV One.

Guests were able to have a guided tour around the new site with the help of the production team, editor Keith Beech and project manager Philip Chapman.

The new site is unique at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in that it has pioneered brand new technology and the technology involved in production proved fascinating for the guests.

Web producer Victoria Minett said: "It was wonderful to get such positive feedback for a site which is literally a few days old.

"We were very proud to see people exploring the site for the first time and recognising the benefits it can have for Coventry and Warwickshire.

"As the site grows over coming months, we are hoping to get as much content as possible from our site users and it was gratifying to make contact with people who would be willing to contribute to our site."
