On 28 September we were in Coventry with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Midlands Today and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ WM.

The visit was part of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Midlands Today's major tour of the West Midlands and Warwickshire asking local people to give their views and help make the news.

The central feature of the roadshow was Nick Owen's Chair - people could sit in it and be filmed as they revealed a local news story.

Hearing your views

Donna Smith, for example, came to us with two complaints about Coventry. She had a disability that badly impaired her speech, yet she was still able to have her say in writing.

Firstly she complained about the rubbish and cigarette ends on the city's pavements. This is the kind of problem ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ WM are tackling in their Pride of Place campaign. Follow the link on the left for more information about this.

She also said parents should take more responsibility for their children and not let them run around behaving badly. She said the parents talk to them as they go around town is very important.

This is a great topic for our talkboard so if you have views on this subject, please help us to develop this Donna's point by emailing us using the link on the left.
