Anil Kapoor is Raja who gets involved with two families who are at log-a-heads with each other- The Chaddas and The D' Souzas.

	Raja and Bunto Betty

Raja enters the lives of these people after 25 years by revealing that he is their grandson. Upon his arrival, Raja is welcomed by only rejection from both parties.

Not one to accept defeat so easily, he begins to win their hearts but the families have a different plan for their new found grandson and that is to get him married off.

听
	It's celebrations all the way

Fearing that he will loose his freedom upon marriage, Raja lies to them by saying that he is already wedded to a fictitious Bunto Betty who he describes as being very sensuous, funny and full of zest.
But in actual fact he is really in love with a Catholic girl called Florence!

Soon the twist in this hilarious tale comes when Raja actually comes face to face with Bunto and realizes that this character actually exists!

This in turn leads to a series of comic mishaps which will have the audience rolling with laughter .

	An overweight Raja

Anil Kapoor is the first actor in the history of the Indian cinema in which he plays the character of a man with a bloated figure without the use of any special effects or digitalisation.

It took Anil approximately 60 days to put on the extra pounds.

A special effects team from Hollywood came to India to execute his make-up by using a technique similar to that of the Hollywood flick The Nutty Professor.

Director Satish Kaushik has enjoyed a hat trick with three continuous hits in the past including his last blockbuster Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai.

This recent venture, Badhaai Oh Badhaai is no exception!
