The Cultural Olympiad is a four year programme of cultural celebrations leading up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. And to mark its launch, several arts and cultural events happened around the county, including a community interest company called Superact! which organised a 'Bandstand Marathon' - 50 simultaneous concerts around south west England, including seven around Dorset.
