Kate's hapless secretary Tim has a lot to put up with. Somehow he manages to deal with Kate's moods and rudeness - and even make the odd good decision on her behalf. A sensitive family man, he sometimes finds Kate's extrovert new hubby rather full-on.
David Mitchell
David cut his comedy teeth at Cambridge, where he was a member of the prestigious * troupe, alongside future comedy partner Robert Webb.
Since then, he's had a successful comedy career on radio and TV, where he's probably best known for the BAFTA nominated Channel Four series *, which he and Robert Webb wrote and in which they performed together.
He's also appeared on the comedy shows The Strategic Humour Initiative, Look Around You, Mock the Week, and The Mitchell and Webb Situation, which he also co-wrote. A familiar figure on panel shows, he's been on , was one of the hosts of Channel Four comedy chat show FAQ U, and a regular panellist on audience survey spoof show Nine Out of Ten Cats.
His comedy writing credits are equally extensive, including work for Armstrong and Miller, Dead Ringers, Big Train, TV To Go and, with Robert Webb, an episode of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Three's Twisted Tales called Nothing To Fear. He's also often heard on radio, where he's appeared in shows such as Armando Ianucchi's Charm Offensive, That Mitchell and Webb Sound and Think the Unthinkable.
On stage, he's done various Edinburgh Fringe shows, and has also acted in Shakespeare, playing Paroles and the King in All's Well That Ends Well.
