In the way that many bands do, the five members of Blossoms managed to orbit each other for years around the town of Stockport, before finally pulling together and forming the band as it is today. With previous musical projects and other bands behind them, the five piece spent months on end rehearsing and writing, developing themselves into one of Manchester’s most exciting new music exports.

Shimmering cymbals and delayed guitars create a stylish film noir meets 60’s aesthetic, further enhanced after they attracted the attention of The Coral’s James Skelly, who brought out the magic in the band’s first singles “Blow” and “Cut Me And I Bleed”. After hearing Blossoms for the first time, Skelly immediately reached out to them, inviting them to Liverpool for “a jam”!
The quintet began their ѿý Introducing journey after uploading in the summer in 2014. Our local show in Manchester quickly became fans and played their tracks, along with showcasing the band at live shows around the city. Soon word reached London and 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq was inviting the boys to Maida Vale for their first national radio session.
SXSW marks the next chapter in the Blossoms story. A new, exciting piece of the Mancunian musical tapestry, with a twist of romance and psychedelia – heading South to make their mark in Texas.
