The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers join the Academy of Ancient Music under Chief Conductor Sofi Jeannin for one of the ‘greatest musical work of art of all times and nations’: Bach’s monumental Mass in B minor.
A Catholic Mass by a devout Lutheran composer, finished the year before Bach’s death in spite of failing health and eyesight, this work was likely never performed in its entirety during Bach’s lifetime. Featuring choir and orchestra with extended wind section, strings and continuo, today it is widely regarded as one of the most extraordinary achievements in classical repertoire.
