Come and join the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO Family Orchestra & Chorus

Come and join the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO Family Orchestra & Chorus for our next exciting project, culminating in a performance in the Central Bar in the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO Family Orchestra & Chorus is an ensemble for all ages, all instruments, and all levels of ability. It's a chance for families to make music together, joining members of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra in a fun family-friendly workshop to compose new music from scratch together.

All abilities are welcome. Whether you're a virtuoso violinist, budding trumpet player, or if you're completely new to music, you can come along and sing in the chorus or join the percussion section. You don't need to be able to read music.

For this project, we'll be taking inspiration from the music of Terry Riley, as featured in the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO’s Visions of the New concert at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 18 October. You and your family will have the chance to perform alongside ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO players in a performance in the Central Bar area in the Royal Festival Hall before the evening concert.

Families will need to be able to attend all rehearsals and the performance on the following dates:

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ALL OF THE FOLLOWING DATES

Saturday 11 October: 11.00am-4.30pm (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Maida Vale Studios, London W9 2LG)

Sunday 12 October: 11.00am-4.30pm (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Maida Vale Studios, London W9 2LG)

Saturday 18 October: 10.30am-1.30pm rehearsal, 5.00pm-7.00pm rehearsal and performance (Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX)

It's free to take part, and open to anyone over the age of 8. All participants under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied throughout by a parent or guardian aged 18 or above.
Booking will open on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO website on Monday 1 September. Please note that places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis (per orchestral section, where applicable).
