Concert Information

Award-winning actress Maxine Peake performs the iconic role of Pelagea Vlassova, a woman whose radical action to protect her son from imprisonment transforms her into the figurehead for a revolutionary movement.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Drama North in collaboration with musicians from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by HK Gruber, present Mark Ravenhill’s version of Bertolt Brecht’s The Mother, a compelling drama with songs set in pre-revolutionary Russia with an original score by Hanns Eisler and recorded live with an audience at The University of Hull’s Middleton Hall and broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 3.
