The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Chorus and chorus director Neil Ferris present Brahms’s famed A German Requiem at the iconic ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Maida Vale Studios. Performing the 1871 London version arranged by Brahms, two stunning soloists, Elizabeth Watts and Ashley Riches, are joined by star pianists Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy for this moving work known for its drama and passion.
Preceding the Requiem are two beautiful works for unaccompanied chorus that compliment Brahms’s composition. William Harris sets a prayer by John Donne, while Gabriel Jackson’s Justorum animae uses the same text as the end of the Requiem’s second movement.
