Sofi Jeannin begins her tenure as Chief Conductor of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers with a programme of music celebrating French choral music.

Arguably, from the renaissance period there is nothing to rival Brumel’s Earthquake Mass for 24 voices. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers perform the work alongside Poulenc’s 1943 composition Figure humaine - a truly magnificent choral masterpiece that was written at the height of the Second World War and captures themes of death, war, oppression and liberty. This particular performance of Figure humaine includes contemporary jazz improvisations that are interspersed between the music. Performed by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ New Generation Artist Misha Mullov-Abbado and friends.
