	Rosa rugosa Hedgehog rose Shrub Hardy Purplish-red Glossy green 1m to 2m x 1m to 2m (3.3ft to 6.6ft x 3.3ft to 6.6ft) Dense, vigorous species rose with attractively wrinkled leaves. It bears a succession of flowers, 9cm (3.5in) in diameter. These are followed in late-autumn by large tomato-shapes and coloured hips. Also available in white.
