are a number of different colleges and organisations that address
all aspects of learning in the community. Whether you are a school
leaver or a pensioner there are courses throughout the county that
will appeal to you.
or Adult Continuing Education and Training helps thousands of adults
in Gloucestershire take their very first steps into a new world
of learning.
The
organisation works with older learners, people with special needs,
unemployed people, families, people living in rural areas and people
living in towns providing them with a bridge to further and higher
education.

and Skills Council
The
Learning and Skills Council (LSC) is responsible for funding and
planning education and training for over 16-year-olds in England.

Modern
apprenticeships allow young people to earn while they learn |
The
current LSC campaign for modern apprenticeships focuses on the growing
need in the UK for skilled workers.
Modern
apprenticeships provide young people between the ages of 16-24 with
the opportunity to 'Earn While You Learn' and last between one and
three years.

young people and employers to take up this challenge.
