Gloscat
- or Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology to give its
full name - is one of the largest further education colleges in
the UK.
It
offers a wide range of education and training programmes for the
16-plus age group. These include A Levels, GCSEs, vocational qualifications,
work-based learning, basic skills courses, higher education, short
courses for business, part-time day and evening courses and English
for overseas students.

The
college has two main sites - a brand new, state-of-the-art campus
at Princess Elizabeth Way, Cheltenham and the city campus in Brunswick
Road, Gloucester, which incorporates the Centre for the Arts.

Campus
This
has a state-of-the-art design and includes virtual language labs,
hi-tech classrooms, sixth form
centre, modern
hair and beauty salon, sports centre and gym, Renaissance
Restaurant and Academy of Culinary Excellence.

Campus
This
is in the centre of Gloucester within walking distance of city amenities.
Facilities include the arts,
design and media centre with 60-seat theatre, multimedia technology,
photography, video editing and audio studios; purpose-built sixth
form centre;
hair
and beauty salons, library and learning gateways.
