Action Zone, part of the Government’s initiative to
raise standards and revive inner city communities.

And
as part of the Voices project, students at Central have been talking
about the things they want improved both in the college and within
their local community.
The
boys feel the quad at Central could be improved
Josh
Wheatley, Daniel O'Brien, Thomas Richardson and Oliver Hall all
volunteered to make their thoughts known to Simon Williams to be
shared at a Voices event for parents at Central.
The
students want to change the overall feel of the college in a number
of ways.
Daniel:
"I'd like the school's appearance to change. It's all, like,
grotty at the moment. The quad could be much better.
Room
for improvement - the playing field
Josh:
"In the grounds all the trees are grotty, some dead, and the
playing fields could be much better."
Oliver:
"I'd like to change what the school does - improve sport and
drama."
Thomas:
"Do up the football pitch and the stage should also be done
up for both children and parents to enjoy."
