ROB'S BIRD CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients:

LardÌý (not cooking oil as it needs to solidify)
Mixed bird seed
Bread crumbsÌý (fine until the chicks appear)

Instructions:

Pot on hob being stirred
Making the cakes

1. Melt lard in a pan
2. When lard has turned to liquid add other ingredients and stir
3. Pour contents in to a plastic container (old marg tub will do)
4. Allow the mixture to go solid in fridge
5. Push out of the container and put on you bird table.

Alternatively - you can tie a long piece of string through the bottom of the container and then add the mixture - that way you can hang it out on a tree with the bird cake still inside the tub.
