Our WW2 wedding took place in Greenock, Scotland, whilest I was based on the River Clyde doing fueling duties with the Merchant and Royal Navy.

I met my wife, Margaret, whilst I was at the Greenock Nautical College in 1938, but it wasn't until 1944 that we were able to get married.

The interveining years were filled with convoy duties with the Merchant Navy and includes two years spent based in the Falkland Islands, again on fueling duties.
