"I was evacuated to my grandma's in Little Bytham, Lincolnshire when I was aged seven. She lived in sight of the main railway line - London to Edinburgh. I particularly remember the steam trains dashing by. It was fascinating. Sadly she died about 18 months after the war started so I went back home to Grimsby."
