I remember my Grandmother telling me about what happened to her during the war. She was about 15 years old. The war had been going on for a few years. Everyone she knew had been taken to a concentration camp in Siberia. She was extremly scared, friends and family being killed regulary. It was a hard time for everyone. Due to the climate of Siberia being extremly cold, the bodies had to be stacked up. The smell of the rotten bodies was dreadful; everytime she went past she felt a lump of sick crawl up her throat.
Days, weeks, months flew by. There was no end in sight. Nearly everyone she knew had been gassed. Eventually she had had enough. She grabbed her sister. "No guards, now is our chance." They escaped and managed to get all the way to England where she lives now.
