My mother joined the WAAF at 18 years old and spent the best years of her life driving supply lorries throughout West Wales. No road signs of course; they had all been taken away in case of German invasion. As children, my brother, sister and myself were mesmorised by her wild memories. What a girl! And these were tales suitable for children's ears.
