My grandfather Donald Milne Ross was onboard HMS Kingston during his time in the Mediterranean. I know he was on other boats prior to and after this but I'm not sure which ones other than Manxman.
I know he was awarded a Metion in Dispatches at some point during his time on HMS Kingston and I think it was around the time of the Battle of Sirte and I know he was a gunner.
Does anyone know anything more about him? Like what that Mention in Dispatches might have been for- or anything else he did, was on etc.
