Sadly my Grandad passed away October 2004.
He would of been 91 on 26th October.
Deeply missed by his Wife Una, and all his family.

My Grandad, Jim Thornton was in the 3rd Royal Artillery Regiment,Searchllight,(ulster).
He joined up of 15th Oct 1939,Ormagh Ave, Belfast.
He is now 90yrs and has now started talking about the times in Dunkirk and remembering names.

Bob Gifford 1941-1942
Major Harry Davidson.

He tells of how is was one of the last
to leave Lapanes Beach after defending the Belgium/French Canals May 1940.
