I was evacuated with my two younger brothers during the war.
We were sent to a farm in North yorkshire. My brothers liked it there, but I was very homesick so I threw myself into a bed of nettles and was badly stung. My Mother came on the train and took me home, the others stayed until it was safe for them to return.
