Not all Germans sang the Nazi songs
Afterthought
A thought came to my mind sometime after I completed my writing about my war time experiences. I should have mentioned how my wife, Else’s reacted when she was in school and the children were ordered to sing Nazi songs. Being a Christian she would not sing them and ran away home to her parents who said that is a good thing you have done by refusing to take part. Actually, it wasn’t till some time after we married that she told me about thisand it, of course, built up my love for her.
It goes to show there must have been many good folk in Germany during the war and indeed after it was all over people from our side sent food parcels over to the Germans.
Even tho’ the world is in a terrible state now we can pray to
