Cynthia Allen

My sister Cynthia joined ATS. REME. When in Army one day Sgt said to her, that she was to go as Batman for Churchill’s daughter as they were visiting the Forces. When she went to her quarters & saw what a mess it was in she went back & told Sgt she wouldn’t do it. Sgt said she had to or else she would be on Court Martial, Cynthia said I joined the Army to help the War, not pick up clothes from the floor. My Sister didn’t do it.
