My experience of Dunkirk, as a young girl, is being told about it by a Mr Sullivan. He was a medical orderly at Dunkirk and when I was talking to him about it he said, 'Every man on the beaches of Dunkirk was praying'.
So, in fact, the miracle of Dunkirk was an answer to their prayers, especially as such a large number of men and sailors were rescued, both by the help of so many volunteers and the Navy.
