My uncle Joseph Finn was in the Stockport T.A from 1939 and subsequently fought with the 6th Cheshires in North Africa and Italy and won an MM at Salerno. My son, a Stockport TA soldier is currently serving with the Cheshires at Basra. His great grandfather joined the TA at Stockport in 1912 and served with the 6th Cheshires on the western front from 1914-1918.
