When the Yanks came to borrow the local Tintagel steam roller, they came equipped with low loader. The driver feared for his iron wheeled living van had never travelled so far so fast!
Williams and Chapman (Delabole) Haulage Contractors 4 vehicles hired additional tippers at £10 per day fuel and drivers inclusive. Berryman’s busses also let uniformed service personnel travel for free.
