Lewis Peters was a bombadier with the 379th bomb group, 524th bomb squadron and flew 31 missions.

Whilst in London in an underground station a man approached him and offered him a bottle of "black market' whiskey...a large normally unseen bottle of Haig whiskey.
He paid $25.00 for the bottle....a lot of money and decided to save the bottle until his final mission.
After 31 dangerous missions his last mission came to be. He grabbed his friends and opened the SEALED bottle of Haig whiskey..took one sip to find it was cold tea!!!!! he had been done!

The base of the bottle had a small hole in it that had been resealed with the cut out glass, glue and a label.!!!
He was not a happy Yank !
