I remember VE Day. We had a street party. There was so much excitement - I was dressed as a fairy in a pink tutu and pink satin ballet pumps. I thought I was wonderful. I don’t know where the outfit came from - I didn’t want the day to end as it was so memerable!

We all had what see,ed like wonderful food - jellies, little cakes, lots of sandwiches and loads of lemonade. I was 4 1/2 years old.
