I left school for work in May 1939. Went into RAF in Jan 1941. In summer of '42 I was posted to Oaklahoma USA, to an RAF flying school. Came back in July '43. In Dec '43 I was posted to India where I was a pilot until after the war, Feb '46. I was mainly training. I was very tied up with the division of India and Pakistan. I was flying Hurricanes. I did a lot of transporting. I was with the MOD until I retired in 1982.
