Third brother? He was in Boy Service in the Army at 14years. The Army sent him home after 18 months as they said he would never take Army discipline. Odd that, as he enlisted again at 18years, served also in the North African campaign. Was on the Sicily landings, and the Italian landings. As he was fighting his way up through Italy, the first brother managed to escape from his prisoner of war camp, and was making his way down south to meet the Allies but the two brothers did not meet. This third brother fought on and was next sent to Greece and fought there until the end of the war. He had much better “post war” postings and finished as a Colonel despite the Army predicition of his prospects.
